Mitsooz began with a feeling—the quiet arrest of a piece with presence.
After leaving Haiti as a child, art became an anchor. A way to hold onto meaning, and to connect across cultures. I saw how one object could carry different stories depending on who stood before it.
Over time, that connection deepened.
I became more intentional about what I chose to live with—seeking pieces that felt lasting. Pieces tied not just to a moment, but to memory.
What stayed with me most was realizing that every piece begins long before it’s placed in a space.
It begins with the person who creates it.
