Mitsooz Artisan Guidelines

For Studios, Makers, and Creative Teams Joining the Mitsooz Marketplace

1. Our Marketplace Ethos

Mitsooz is built around a simple truth:

Art matters. Craftsmanship matters. Story matters.

We partner with studios whose creations begin with their hands, their vision, and their creative identity — whether crafted by a one-person studio or a small, dedicated team. Every piece on Mitsooz reflects intention, meaning, and artistic authorship.

If your work carries your voice, your culture, your perspective, or your design philosophy, you are in the right place.

2. What Defines a Mitsooz Artisan Shop

Your studio should reflect:

  • Hands-on involvement in the design and making process
  • A clear artistic identity
  • Thoughtful production (small batch, studio-scale, or carefully supervised team work)
  • Originality over imitation
  • Consistent quality in craftsmanship
  • Pieces with story, meaning, or cultural lineage

We celebrate individuality — not trend-chasing, not mass-market sameness.

3. Items We Accept

We focus on artisan-crafted pieces within:

  • Home décor (vessels, sculptures, accents)
  • Furniture
  • Textiles (throws, pillows, handwoven pieces, etc.)
  • Tabletop & barware
  • Wall art
  • Artisan-crafted objects
  • Cultural or heritage-inspired designs

Your work should be an extension of your creative identity.

4. Items We Do Not Accept

To maintain integrity across the platform, we cannot accept:

  • Mass-produced or factory-made goods
  • Wholesale products purchased for resale
  • Items with no artistic authorship
  • White-labeled goods
  • Dropshipped items with no studio involvement
  • High-volume trend products designed only for virality

Mitsooz honors true craft. That is our promise to collectors.

5. Creative Integrity & Authorship

Artisans must be:

  • The designer, or
  • The creative director of the piece, or
  • The lead artist overseeing production from concept to completion

If assistance is used (ex: a trained assistant or small team), all work must still reflect your vision and creative standards.

6. Product Photography Requirements

Your shop’s success depends on visibility and presentation.

We require:

  • Clear, well-lit product photos
  • Clean or neutral backgrounds
  • Consistent styling across listings
  • No watermarks on primary images
  • Lifestyle images are encouraged but not mandatory

We will provide examples and recommendations after onboarding.

7. Shop Policies (Shipping, Returns, Processing)

Each Artisan Shop is responsible for:

  • Setting processing times
  • Defining shipping rates
  • Outlining return/refund policies
  • Packaging the order securely
  • Providing tracking
  • Handling customer questions or concerns
  • Filing shipping carrier claims when needed

Collectors will be directed to your shop’s policies first.

Mitsooz will step in only when absolutely necessary.

8. Packaging & Presentation

We invite you to create a memorable unboxing experience.

Your packaging should reflect:

  • Protection (secure wrapping)
  • Professionalism
  • Your studio’s personality or culture
  • Respect for the craft

Cards, small notes, or maker information are welcomed additions.

9. Order Fulfillment Timeline

Your processing time must be:

  • Honest
  • Realistic
  • Consistent

If unforeseen delays occur, you must update the collector promptly.

Reliability is essential for maintaining your shop’s place on the platform.

10. Pricing & Transparency

Pricing is fully controlled by you.

We encourage pricing that reflects:

  • the time you invest
  • craftsmanship
  • materials
  • your expertise
  • your creative process

Mitsooz does not dictate pricing — we simply ask for clarity and consistency.

11. Marketplace Fees & Payouts

Full payout structure and fee details will be shared during onboarding.

You will receive:

  • payout schedule
  • processing timelines
  • shop management guidelines

You retain control of your inventory, pricing, and fulfillment.

12. Maintaining Artisan Standards

We reserve the right to remove shops for:

  • repeated customer complaints
  • consistent shipping issues
  • misrepresentation of work
  • low-quality production that does not reflect the original application
  • violation of marketplace guidelines

This is to protect the integrity of our artisans — and the trust of our collectors.

13. How We Support You

As a Mitsooz Artisan Shop, you’ll receive:

  • visibility across our marketplace
  • inclusion in curated collections
  • opportunities to be featured in editorial campaigns
  • potential blog and newsletter spotlights
  • access to guides and templates for brand storytelling
  • a community of like-minded makers

We are building a marketplace where your artistry is seen, valued, and supported.
