Rooted in the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-sabi, the sculpture celebrates the beauty of organic irregularity, ensuring that the protrusions and hand-refined curves of each cast carry their own unique atmospheric vibration.

With a discipline honed by twenty years as a professional chef and jeweler, Brown approaches her work with a rare, meticulous sensory focus. Every protrusion of "Sunflower" was expertly built in wax, filed, and sanded before being transitioned into bronze through the traditional lost-wax method. The result is a heavy, solid work of Organic Minimalism that carries a quiet energy.
