The Narrative.

Flyover Field
An Original Oil Painting

The Warmth of the Southern Autumn.
There is a fleeting moment in the South when the light turns gold and the clouds feel close enough to touch. In "Flyover Field," Carol Roark invites you to step directly into that moment. Billowing clouds and golden broomsage dance across the canvas, inviting the viewer to take a quiet walk through a pristine autumn field. Using her mastery of the Hensche colorist method, Roark captures the "atmospheric vibration" of the sky, turning a vast landscape into an intimate, transportive experience.

Documenting the Magical Rural South.
As a founding member of the Mississippi Plein Air Painters, Carol Roark is dedicated to revealing the hidden beauty of the rural landscape. This 18x24 original oil painting, created in 2023, is a one-of-a-kind study of light and color. The vibrant, high-key palette and expansive horizontal orientation make this a commanding focal piece for any collection that values the serene, untouched corners of the natural world.
